Building and Construction: New Subcontractor’s Statement

As part of the State Government’s mini budget, a new form of statement to be signed by subcontractors for the purposes of workers compensation, payroll tax and remuneration payable by the subcontractor has been issued. All head contractors should ensure that their subcontractors complete the new form of statement so that the head contractor is not responsible for workers compensation premiums, payroll tax and remuneration payable by the subcontractor.
